Summary + thesis #Draft 1

The Bambu Lab A1 Mini auto resonance calibration system makes it user friendly even for beginners. According to Chatgpt, 3D printing users face issues like poor printing quality, bad calibration, loud production noise and many more therefore it is extremely crucial for users to find the perfect model. With the a1 mini's auto calibration, high speed precision system, user can put their mind to peace while printing their desired product. The auto calibration system eliminates the need for manual setup as the printer meticulously calibrates the Z-offset, bed-level, vibration resonance and nozzle pressure for every print job, automatically (Bambu lab, n.d). The high speed precision system use features such as full metal rails, rigid frame, nozzle pressure sensor ,accelerometers, powerful MCU to print quality results without using specialized filaments (Bambu lab, n.d). Another selling point of the a1 mini is the amount of noise produced, the active motor noise cancelling syst...

Research Pathway

Research Pathway In the field of engineering there are multiple ways that it could benefit from 3D printing such as:   Reduces prototyping costs. Speeds up prototype production. Supports on-demand manufacturing. Reduces material waste compared to traditional methods. Simplifies production of low-volume parts. Provides hands-on learning for engineering education. For these reasons, we chose 3D printing as our research pathway topic focusing particularly on the Bambu A1 mini. In the article “Bambu Lab A1 Mini Overview”, Bambu Lab presents the A1 Mini as an innovative 3D printer that is designed for accessibility, speed and ease of use catering to users of all skill levels. The article also highlights the compact size & advanced features of the printer that helps streamline the printing process, making it more convenient and efficient. The feature of automatic calibration particularly caught my attention, as it eliminates the need for manual adjustments, making the printer more us...

Self Introduction Letter

Dear Professor Brad Blackstone, My name is Ng Wen Han and I'm currently a year 1 civil engineering student in Singapore Institute of Technology. Allow me to use this letter to introduce myself to you so that you can get to know me better. I was an electronics student for 5 years, 2 years in Institute of Technical Education and 3 years in Ngee Ann polytechnic. After completing my diploma, I made the decision to stop electronics and pursued another field of profession which is civil engineering. The reason for this change is because I would like to try and experience another different field, preferably one which focuses on hands-on experience and thus my search narrowed down to civil engineering.  Growing up, I have always been very introverted hence I love spending time alone or with my loved ones. During the weekend, I will take short breaks from studying to play some video games and once in a while, go down to have a short walk in the park with my partner. I appreciate ...

Personal Problem Scenario

Ideal: To keep up to track for all of my modules Reality: Falling behind on my studies Cause: Unable to focus and understand module learning content Effects/Results: Wasting more time trying to understand learning content Goal: Sleep early so I can stay focus in class Possible change: Set a daily timetable Solution: Stick to the daily timetable even if there is possible unproductivity Outcome of change: Can't really commit to sleeping early due to the overwhelming school work Updated as of : 3/4/2025

Week 1 Task (Wen Han & Vishva response)

Chosen Quotation "Developing excellent communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. If a leader can't get a message across clearly and motivate others to act on it, then having a message doesn't even matter." Gilbert Amelio, former President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corp Response:  Personally, after reflecting on this statement, we clearly understand the core message it conveys. Without strong communication skills, a leader will struggle to be effective at every step of their journey. A lack of communication skills prevents leaders from articulating their stance, explanations, and messages to their team. Effective communication is a crucial skillset composed of many smaller abilities. Failure to achieve excellence in communication limits a leader’s capacity to provide insightful knowledge and motivation to their team. As ...
